2025 Benefit FAQ’s 1. Why are we changing medical carriers to Anthem? We’re moving to Anthem to provide better service options and more cost-effective healthcare coverage. Anthem offers a broad network of providers, comprehensive coverage, and cost savings that align with the company’s long-term benefits strategy. 2. Will my doctor still be in-network with Anthem? Anthem has one of the largest networks in the region. You can check whether your current doctor is in-network by visiting Anthem’s provider directory https://www.anthem.com/find-care/ 3. What about Reid Hospital? I heard there were issues with Anthem in the past. Yes, earlier this year there were contract negotiations between Anthem and Reid Hospital that caused concern. However, as of March, Reid Hospital and Anthem reached a new agreement. This means Reid Hospital and its affiliated providers are part of Anthem’s network, and you can continue receiving care there without any disruptions. 4. Will my premiums increase with this switch? Yes, there will be a small increase in premiums. 5. How will I find out more about Anthem’s plan options during open enrollment? During open enrollment, you will have access to resources such as plan comparison charts, a benefits guide, and presentations from our benefits team. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions through HR. 6. What if I am currently undergoing treatment? Will I need to change providers? If you are in the middle of treatment, Anthem offers a continuity of care program. This allows you to continue treatment with your current provider for a specified time, even if they are out-of-network. Contact Anthem’s customer service to discuss your options. 7. Will there be any changes to the coverage levels or types of care? No changes are expected to your coverage levels. Anthem offers comparable or improved coverage options compared to our current carrier, including access to preventive care, specialist visits, hospital stays, and prescription drug coverage. 8. Will TrueRx still be my pharmacy provider? Yes, TrueRx will remain your pharmacy benefit manager. There will not be any changes to your pharmacy benefits. 9. When does the change to Anthem take effect? The switch to Anthem will take effect on 1/1/2025, which will be the start of the new benefits plan year. You will need to make your plan selections during open enrollment to ensure your coverage continues without interruption. 10. What do I need to do during open enrollment? Review the new plan options, attend any informational meetings, and make your plan selections through our benefits portal by the enrollment deadline. If you need assistance, HR will be available to answer questions and guide you through the process. 11. Will I still have access to SwiftMD? Yes, SwiftMD will continue to be available to you.
