More than 38 million Americans—about 1 in 9 adults—live with diabetes, and many others have prediabetes without realizing it. The good news is that even small improvements can make a big difference—reducing your A1C by just 1% can greatly improve your health, lowering the risk of complications like heart disease, kidney problems, and nerve damage. You can help keep your blood sugar in a healthy range by • Eating balanced meals rich in vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains • Staying active for at least 30 minutes most days • Getting 7-8 hours of sleep each day • Managing stress in ways that work for you Regular checkups and A1C testing are also key to tracking progress and staying on top of your health. This month is a great reminder that every small, healthy choice adds up—supporting more energy, focus, and long- term well-being.
