Employer-Paid Benefits Long-Term Disability Employer-paid long-term disability protects your income for a period of time due to illness, maternity leave, or an accident not related to your job. Benefits begin 180 days after the date of the incident and will cover 66.67% of your earnings (up to $8,889/month).
