Achangeincoveragethatdoesnotincreasethe amount of coverage becomes effective the earlier of: 1) the date of any scheduled reduction; or 2) the date of AUL’s written approval of the change. Prior to a change in coverage that increases the amount of coverage, You must be Actively at Work and the required amountofpremiummustbepaid. Achangeincreasingthe amount of coverage equal to or less than Your Guaranteed Issue Amount takes effect the date Youbecomeeligiblefor the change in coverage. Achangeincoverageincreasingthe amount of coverage above Your Guaranteed Issue Amount is subject to: 1) satisfactory Evidence of Insurability, at no expense to AUL; and 2) uponAUL’swrittenapproval,takeseffect on the date of a request for change. If You are not Actively at Work on the approved change date, any increase in the amount of coverage takes effect on the date You return to Active Work.
