Your 2026 Benefits In 2026 we are focused on improving the health and welfare of Richmond Community Schools employees. After evaluating our past medical plan, we have decided to move forward with Anthem HealthSync network. We feel this provides our employees with the best opportunity when it comes to their healthcare experience and cost.
Employees All full-time employees are eligible for the benefits program. You may insure yourself and eligible family members under the program. Spouse & Legal Dependents Your children are eligible for medical, dental, and vision to age 26. Your children of any age are also eligible if you support them, and they are incapable of self-support due to disability. If your dependent becomes ineligible for coverage during the year, you must contact your plan administrator within 30 days. If the spouse of the Employee is employed and eligible for coverage under their own employer, this plan will not provide any coverage for the spouse. Qualifying Events You may make a change to your benefits if you have a qualified status change such as: marriage divorce, birth/adoption, death, changes in spouse’s benefits, and more. Eligibility

Doctor Visit Visit your healthcare provider and the office will submit the claim to your health plan. Amount Owed The health plan will share the amount you owe with your doctor. EOB The health plan sends you the Explanation of Benefits (EOB). Bill Received Your doctor will then send you a bill. Basic Life and AD&D The employer-paid basic life and accident, death, and dismemberment insurance policy is available to all full-time employees. In the event of your death, your beneficiaries will receive the following: Class 1 – Superintendent: 3x annual base salary up to $350,000 Class 2 – Administrative: 2x annual base salary up to $350,000 Class 3 - All Other Active Full-Time (including board members): $50,000 Class 4 – Retired Superintendent: 3x annual base salary (at retirement) up to $350,000 Class 5 – Retired Administrative: 2x annual base salary (at retirement) up to $350,000 Class 6 - All Other Retired Employees (including board members): $50,000 Dependent Life Dependent life benefits are employee elected and paid. Spouse Benefit: $5,000 Child(ren) Birth to 6 Months: $1,000 Child(ren) 6 Months to 26 Years: $2,500 Long-Term Disability Employer-paid long-term disability protects your income for a period of time. Benefits begin 90 days after the date of the incident and will cover 66 2/3% of your earnings (up to $7,000/month).
